Yes. Templates are written to avoid PHI in the message body. For example, "Reminder: appointment tomorrow at 14:00" rather than "Reminder: skin biopsy review tomorrow at 14:00." The HIPAA workspace ships with PHI-safe templates by default and a pre-flight check that warns you before sending a message containing sensitive terms (procedure names, diagnosis codes, medication names).
When an appointment is booked, CRM Solid sends a secure intake-form link via the contact's preferred channel (email, WhatsApp, SMS). The patient completes the form on a HIPAA-aware web page (HTTPS, no third-party scripts, no analytics). The response posts back to your EHR via webhook if your EHR supports it, and is also stored in the patient record inside CRM Solid for the clinical team to review pre-visit.
CRM Solid ingests appointment and patient events from any EHR that can send a webhook or expose a FHIR endpoint. Direct certified integrations with the major US EHRs are on the 2026 roadmap. For now, most clinics use a small middleware layer (or our public API) to bridge their EHR to CRM Solid in a day or two.
